胡馬大宛名，
鋒棱瘦骨成。
竹批雙耳峻，
風入四蹄輕。
所向無空闊，
真堪託死生。
驍騰有如此，
萬里可橫行。

Charger from the barbaric west,
Its frame angular-but strong,
Its ears sharp as pointed bamboo,
Its hoofs fleet as the wind;
Never faltering, whatever the vastness;
Never failing, whatever the peril.
With such a fiery steed,
You can ride where you will.
